A crafting guide is a GUI element which the player can use to lookup which items are neccessary to craft a certain item. A crafting guide may also include smelting recipes, but not neccessarily so.
Crafting guides are part of a mod, called “crafting guide mod”. Crafting guide mods are not part of the vanilla Minetest game.
