About Minetest
|
Minetest is a game engine for various games which usually play in an open world made out of cubes inspired by Infiniminer, Minecraft, and the like. You can download games, mods and texture packs in Minetest or join a multiplayer server.
The default game bundled with Minetest is Minetest Game. It implements a basic set of features and is best played with mods enabled. There are a number of other games available for Minetest, most of which are available on ContentDB and installable through the main menu content browser.
Minetest is free software, released under the GNU Lesser General Public License (version 2.1 or later). This allows you to freely inspect and edit the engine's source code, and allows for contributions by the community to constantly improve the engine.
