Cotton is made by building Cotton Seed onto soil, wet soil, desert sand soil or wet desert sand soil. This plant only grows if the soil is wet. Cotton can have one of 8 sizes and starts with size 1. Cotton will slowly grow to a larger size as long it is on wet soil. On size 8, it will stop growing.
When mined, it can randomly drop anything ranging from nothing up to 3 Strings and 3 Cotton Seeds. The larger the plant, the better the chances are you get more. A cotton of size 8 is guaranteed to drop at least 1 String and 1 Cotton Seed.
