A Waterlily may appear naturally on shallow Water (depth of 1 block) near the decidous forest, jungle and savannah biomes. It can be collected by hand. As waterlilies are part of the flora group, they spread slowly over time. Waterlilies can be placed on water but they will die very quickly when placed on the ground.
Waterlilies currently serve no purpose other than decoration.
